USC’s Zero Waste pilot program launches, with bins placed at HSCFacilities Management has launched USC’s first Zero Waste pilot program. Eight new multi-stream waste diversion bins are being installed in high foot-traffic locations on campus, providing access to compost, recycling, and liquid pour stations. This pilot effort will enable USC to divert trash from local landfills as waste such as food scraps can be composted, plastics and metals recycled, and liquids kept from contaminating other waste streams.

On Monday, bins became available outside HSC’s Pappas Quad and the USC Village. See the map for locations:
