Drayton Harvey, a fourth-year MD/PhD student at the Keck School, was elected student member of the American Medical Association’s Board of Trustees.
Harvey became the student member of the AMA’s Council on Legislation in April. (Read our story about that announcement.)
“I am deeply honored to be elected by my peers to serve on the AMA Board of Trustees,” said Harvey, who’s scheduled to graduate in 2025. “Particularly during this time of pandemic, new physicians face a challenging, daunting work environment. As the youngest member of the Board, I look forward to advocating for my peers, for science, and for policies that empower the next generation of physicians to unlock their full potential to improve the health of the nation.”
