Andrea Banuelos Mota, an MD-MPH candidate in her final year at the Keck School, has been selected as one of this year’s Pisacano Leadership Scholars.
Banuelos Mota’s MPH concentration was in health services and policy, and as a med student, she will be applying into the speciality of family medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
The scholarship is named for Nicholas J. Pisacano, MD, a longtime Family Medicine professor at the University of Kentucky. The Pisacano Leadership Foundation was founded in 1990, the year of his death.
