The Keck Medicine of USC Stroke Program and the Nurses of USC participated in the Skid Row Carnival of Love, offering blood pressure screenings and stroke education to over 200 people. The team educated attendees about stroke warning signs, risk factors and stroke prevention. This annual event provides essential items, services and resources to those experiencing homelessness on Skid Row, including clothing donations, medical services, career opportunities, legal advice, feet washing, hair cutting, DMV ID services, and many more.
