Patients at the USC Norris Cancer Hospital received a very special visit recently – the 2019 Tournament of Roses Court made its annual visit to the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center on Nov. 19 to meet with cancer patients and learn about breast cancer research, cancer care and ultrasound imaging technology.

Mary Yamashita, MD, assistant professor of clinical radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, demonstrated SoftVue 3-D water bath imaging technology that might better diagnose breast cancer in dense tissue.

This year, Keck Medicine of USC’s very own Chief Human Resources Officer, Matthew McElrath, EdD, also attended to support his daughter, princess Micaela Sue McElrath.

The Royal Court included Rose Queen Louise Deser Siskel and princesses Micaela Sue McElrath, Lauren Michele Baydaline, Ashley Symone Hackett, Rucha S. Kadam, Sherry Xiaorui Ma and Helen Susan Rossi.
