KSOM faculty honored in LABJ’s Women of Influence: Health Care issue

April Armstrong, Tamara Chambers, and Michele Kipke, KSOM’s three nominees for the LABJ honors.

The Los Angeles Business Journal has published its “Women of Influence: Health Care” special section, and several Keck School of Medicine faculty members were honored:

  • April Armstrong, MD, MPH, professor of dermatology (clinical scholar) and associate dean for clinical research
  • Tamara N. Chambers, MD, assistant professor of clinical otolaryngology—head and neck surgery
  • Stephanie Hall, MD, MHA, associate professor of clinical emergency medicine, associate dean of clinical affairs; chief medical officer at Keck Medical Center of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital
  • Michele D. Kipke, PhD, professor of pediatrics (clinical scholar); vice chair of research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
  • Susan Durham, MD, professor of clinical neurological surgery; chief of the Division of Neurosurgery, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
  • Vivian Mo, MD, clinical associate professor of medicine (clinician educator); interim chief of the division of cardiology, Keck Medicine of USC; chief medical officer of USC Care Medical Group; director of the USC Women’s Cardiovascular Center
  • Neha Nanda, MD, clinical associate professor of medicine (clinician educator); medical director of infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship, Keck Medicine of USC

Others from the USC medical community, including affiliate hospitals, who made the list are:

  • Rhonda Foster, EdD, MPH, MS, RN, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
  • Theresa Murphy, RN, chief nursing officer, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital
  • Mary Virgallito, RN, associate administrator, quality and patient safety, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital
