Rebels With A Cause 2012
The Center for Applied Molecular Medicine (CAMM) and the USC Norris Westside Cancer Center (WCC) celebrated the first Rebels with a Cause Gala on September 19th, 2012. This special event, led by Dr. David Agus and his team, raised a total of $3,675,000 for cancer research. Dr. Agus opened the evening by saying, “Tonight we honor two of the most impactful REBELS, Sumner Redstone and Murray Gell-Man. They are quintessential REBELS, and we are all better for their ideas and work.” The guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner together and celebrated with a special performance by Neil Young and Tony Bennett. The team at CAMM and WCC look forward to this event in the coming years. Dr. Agus announced at the gala that they have begun fundraising for a new research and clinical campus on the Westside of Los Angeles.
